Building Our Faith on a Strong Foundation

Image
Greetings and blessings to everyone. This is Pastor Sandoval from Christ the Rock New Life Center Ministries. Today, as we celebrate Veterans Day, let us honor and thank all veterans who have selflessly served our country. Their courage and dedication remind us of the importance of building a strong foundation in our lives—just as they have stood strong for us, we are called to stand strong in our faith. Building on the Rock In Luke 6:47-49, Jesus teaches that a strong foundation is essential for weathering life’s storms. He says, "They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it." A house built on rock stands firm, while one built without a solid foundation will collapse. This teaching illustrates the importance of grounding our lives in God’s word and living out His teachings. A firm foundation in faith enables us to withstand life’s challenges, whether they come

Building Your Life on the Rock: A Call to Stand Firm in Faith

Praise the Lord, everyone! What a wonderful opportunity we have today to come together and reflect on God's word. It’s a beautiful day here in Salinas, California—sunny, though a little chilly—but the glory of God warms our hearts! I want to greet everyone joining us today, whether you’re here live or watching later. May this message uplift and encourage you. Today, we’re going to dive right into the lesson, and I pray it will be a blessing to all of you. The topic for today is "A House Upon the Rock." This message is drawn from Matthew 7:24, where Jesus says: "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock." The Importance of Building on a Firm Foundation Jesus is that rock! He is the foundation upon which we must build our lives. We see this echoed throughout Scripture. In Isaiah 28:16-17, God speaks of a precious cornerstone, a tested stone laid in Zion—a foundation we ca

This is Pastor Sandoval from Christ the Rock New Life Center Ministries, and I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the topic of perseverance in our faith journey. Today, I want to speak from the heart about something we all face—tiredness and weakness, both physically and spiritually. I’ve titled this reflection "My Arms Are Tired, and My Legs Are Weak." As believers, we all experience moments when we feel physically drained, emotionally exhausted, and spiritually weary. The truth is, life can be overwhelming at times. Whether it's sickness, hardship, or simply the demands of everyday life, our bodies and spirits grow tired. But even in these moments, God calls us to keep running the spiritual race, to fight the good fight, and to hold on to His promises. The Race We Run The Apostle Paul said, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7). Like Paul, we

A Reflection on God's Love and the Gift of Salvation: John 3:16

Related Bible Study on  YouTube Praise the Lord, everyone! As we reflect on the blessings of this beautiful day, I hope everyone enjoyed their recent three-day Labor Day weekend. Whether you spent time with family or simply rested, I pray it was a time of refreshment. Personally, I remember those long weekends when I was still working, and now, in retirement, I can truly appreciate those moments of rest. This morning, I want to briefly share something close to my heart—a well-known verse from the Bible that many of us hold dear: John 3:16. It's a powerful reminder of God’s immense love for us. The verse reads: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, KJV) What a beautiful promise! God loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice so that we may have eternal life. This is a reminder that the foundation of our faith is built on love—God’

Becoming a Strong Soldier in Christ

Related Bible Study on YouTube Praise the Lord! What a beautiful day it is to gather in the presence of God. I’m thankful for this opportunity to share with you today, and I pray this message finds you in good spirits. As we dive into today’s topic, I want to revisit a theme that has been on my heart: A Strong Soldier. A strong soldier is a good soldier. This is the essence of what I want to share with you today. How can we become strong soldiers in the army of the Lord? What qualities define a strong soldier? Let’s explore these questions together. 1. Be Punctual and Prepared A good soldier is always on time. Whether it’s your secular job or attending church, punctuality matters. It shows discipline and respect for the task at hand. As soldiers in God’s army, we must be prepared and ready, both physically and spiritually. This includes maintaining fitness—reading the Bible, exercising your body, and nurturing your mind with positive, uplifting content. 2. Maintain Open Communication
