Finding Strength Through Encouragement: Overcoming Anxiety with Faith

Praise the Lord, Everyone!

We thank God for this beautiful day, for His grace, and for all the blessings He has given us. God is good—all the time! This is Pastor Sandoval from Christ the Rock New Life Center Ministries, and today I want to share a message of encouragement.

Encouragement is something we all need, whether we are facing trials, feeling overwhelmed, or simply needing a reminder that God is with us. Many struggle with anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, but the Word of God provides the strength and reassurance we need.

The Battle with Anxiety

Consternation is a feeling of anxiety and fear, and many people—including Christians—struggle with it. Anxiety can make you feel like you're trapped in a four-cornered room, unable to escape. But let me tell you something: You are not alone.

🔹 Romans 8:37 reminds us:
"We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."

What does it mean to be more than a conqueror? It means that before any problem even comes your way, you already have victory in Christ! Whatever situation arises, you can overcome it through Him.

God’s Promise: Do Not Fear

Fear is a powerful emotion, but God’s Word tells us over and over again not to be afraid.

🔹 Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) says:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Even when you feel anxious, God is right there with you. His presence brings peace, strength, and courage. When fear tries to take over, pray and cry out to Him—He will answer.

God Will Lift You Up

Sometimes, life knocks us down. We might have a bad day at work, school, or in our personal lives, but God reminds us not to let negativity steal our joy.

🔹 Psalm 37:23-24 (KJV)
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand."

Even if we stumble, God will pick us right back up—just like He did for Peter when he walked on water but began to sink. Jesus reached out and saved him! The same God who lifted Peter will lift you up when you feel like you’re drowning in fear or stress.

Encourage Yourself in the Lord

There will be times when you feel discouraged. The enemy wants you to believe you’re alone, that you’re not strong enough, that you won’t make it—but that’s a lie.

🔹 Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

No matter what people say, no matter what situation you’re facing, God's peace will guard your heart. Instead of dwelling on negativity, turn to prayer, worship, and the Word of God.

Ways to Encourage Yourself in Difficult Times:

Pray Daily – Talk to God about your struggles.
Read the Bible – Let His Word fill your heart with truth.
Surround Yourself with Faithful Believers – Community brings strength.
Trust in God's Promises – He will never leave you nor forsake you.
