Finding Comfort in God’s Promise

A Bible Study Reflection by Pastor Sandoval

Praise the Lord, everyone! This is Pastor Sandoval from Christ the Rock New Life Center Ministries, and I am blessed to share today’s Bible study with you.

Remembering a Faithful Servant

Before we begin, I want to take a moment to honor the life of a dear friend, Reverend Bernardo Cruz, who passed away two days ago. For over 40 years, he faithfully served the Lord, dedicating his heart and life to ministry. While his passing is sorrowful, we rejoice knowing that he is now in the presence of God. Please keep his family in your prayers for comfort and peace.

Genesis 28:17 – The House of God

"And he was afraid and said, 'How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.'”Genesis 28:17

Jacob had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. In his vision, he saw the gate of heaven, and he realized the sacredness of where he stood. Like Jacob, we too must recognize that God’s presence dwells among us.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 – The Coming of the Lord

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry, with a shout of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with Him."1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

This verse reminds us of the glorious day when Christ will return for His church. The trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will rise, followed by those who remain faithful. This is our hope—that one day, we will be caught up to be with the Lord forever.

2 Timothy 4:18 – God’s Protection

"The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever."2 Timothy 4:18

No matter what we go through, God is our refuge. He delivers us from every evil attack and secures us in His heavenly kingdom. We may face hardships, but God’s faithfulness never fails. In heaven, there will be no more sorrow, no more tears, and no more suffering.

A Call to Faith

We must decide today whether we will follow Christ. None of us know the day or the hour of His return. The Bible says, "Today is the day of salvation." We must choose faith, obedience, and love in Christ.

Never stop praying for your loved ones. If your children are away from God, keep interceding for them. He hears every prayer and will move in His time.
